Friends. You get to know the person and find out how well you get along. All good relationships need a certain level of friendship to work.

    i think if you want a really serious relationship then going right into it works better because you never knew what it was like to just be friends and you will never be scared of wrecking a friendship.

    Friends. Relationships are really just friendships+romantic feelings. If you dont have the friendship you are missing an essential part of the relationship. You really can learn to appreciate someone for who they are when you are their friend.

    That said, those relationships that work out best having started as friends always start in the same way… attraction the remains constant while the friendship is forming.

    I met my husband and grew into a friendship with him over almost a year before he and I got together romantically. By that time we had become completely in love with each other. When we first met though, each of us secretly had fallen for each other. So there was always and undercurrent of romance to our relationship.
